Butte College Makerspace

The Butte College Makerspace

In the Fall of 2017, Butte College was allocated a $500,000 grant to build a makerspace in the Arts building on campus. Since that initial funding, the Makerspace (formerly known as the Create Space) has been allocated aproximately $300,000 in additional funding to purchase specialized equipment for our students and the community to use for creating.

The Butte College Makerspace is located in the ARTS building on campus in Arts 148. The space consists of an indoor area and an outdoor area with larger CNC equipment for wood and metal.
