Butte College alumnus Kevan Murgia, 23, made his dreams come true as a sports medicine NFL intern with the Los Angeles Rams at the big game last Sunday, Feb. 13.
“If I didn’t go to Butte, I wouldn’t be where I am now,” said Kevan. “The athletic training program at Butte gave me a head start. Mario and Irene taught me a lot in the athletic training room. I had a love of sports, was interested in sports medicine, and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.”
Kevan attended BC as an athletic training student from 2017-2019 and transferred to Long Beach State's athletic training education program and has served as an LA Rams intern since 2020.
“I’m thankful for my Butte College experience and want to thank Mario and Irene for pushing me to believe in myself,” Kevan said.
