Butte College held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Butte College Public Safety Training Grounds, located on the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive in Oroville. The ribbon cutting coincided with the opening of Scenario Village, a new training area for student recruits.
Scenario Village includes five modular buildings, a restroom building and shade structure. This new training area provides student recruits from Law Enforcement, Fire, Fish & Wildlife, and Parks & Recreation programs with a dedicated instructional area to perform required scenario testing. The project itself is part of the Measure J Bond Project and was built on time and within budget. Refreshments will be served and parking will be available.
