Butte College celebrated its annual International Education Week (IEW) from November 15 to 19. International Education Week is celebrated globally and promotes programs to educate and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.
Butte College offered activities, workshops, and presentations during IEW that highlight the benefits of international education. Further details and information on these past events can be found here.
Monday, Nov. 15
2 to 3 p.m. – Butte College International Program - It's a Small World After All!- Online informational presentation presented by Rachel Wood, Butte College International Program Coordinator
Tuesday, Nov. 16
9 to 10 a.m. – Meet our Global Roadrunners-Online presentation presented by Butte College International F-1 Visa Students
11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Test/Learn your Global IQ -1st Floor Campus Center, presented by Intercultural Communication Class (CMST 9)
Noon to 1:30 p.m. – International Student Lunch -Butte College students only
Wednesday, Nov. 17
9 to 10 a.m. – Hmong New Year at the Center for Excellence- presented by Asian & Pacific Islander Council (APIC)
4 to 5 p.m. – Friendsgiving Meeting/Meal in ARTS 234, hosted by International Student Club
7 to 9 p.m. – Butte College Men’s Basketball Game vs. Consumnes River, at the Butte College Gym – cheer on our team featuring some international student-athletes!
Thursday, Nov. 18
11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Test/Learn your Global IQ at 1st Floor Campus Center- presented by Intercultural Communication Class (CMST 9)
3 to 4 p.m. – Meet our Global Roadrunners -Online presentation presented by Butte College International F-1 Visa Students
