The Butte College Child Development Center was recently awarded a new four-year grant award of $171,764.00, with funds administered by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Child Care Access Means Parents in School Program grant supports the participation of low-income parents in post-secondary education with child care services. With these grant monies, the Butte College Child Development Center will continue to fund two full-time classroom staff and provide free or reduced childcare tuition to ten student-parents, focusing on infant-toddler-age children, enabling student-parents to continue their education while parenting.
The Child Development Center also offers a free California State Preschool Program for income qualifying student-parents for the 21/22 academic school year.
To learn more about eligibility requirements for either of these programs, please call Nicole Cancilla (530) 895-2803 or visit caminal-equip.com/cdc/grants.
