The Butte College Create Space Maker Lab was named one of the top five makerspaces among the 23 colleges that were awarded grants through the California Community College Maker Initiative.
For the past two years Butte College has received grant funding from the CCC Maker Initiative which supports California Community Colleges in creating makerspaces, developing maker curriculum, encouraging hands-on student projects and offering internships that uniquely reflect their campuses and communities.
CCCMaker highlighted the achievements of the Butte College Create Space through a video segment which aired during the its statewide conference in April.
